Last week I attended the first ever “Comprehensive Piercing Seminar” at Fakir Intensives.  For 5 days I learned different piercing techniques by shadowing piercers such as Fakir Musafar, Ken Coyote, Ian Bishop, Jef Saunders, Cody Vaughn, Tod Almighty, William Grindatti, and Jori Zan.  I also learned about the history of the body piercing movement, and incorporating energy sensitivity and shamanism into everyday body piercings. As many of my clients are aware I lost my piercer and friend Ericca Colton after completing a little over a year of my apprenticeship with her.  I’ve always known that Ericca has had a huge part in my success as a piercer, but never quite knew how to put her presence into words.  Connecting to the shamanism in my craft helped me do just that. Moving forward I believe my clients will see some tweaks in my bedside manner and pre-piercing routine.  That  together with the techniques i learned will make for a better piercing experience all around,  It was a great time and I am so fortunate to be able to attend seminars like this.
