A sneak peek at the blog posts coming your way!
If you’ve ever fallen down a Google rabbit hole of piercing questions and left more confused than when you started, you’re not alone. Whether you’re brand new to body piercing or have full ear curating projects underway, there’s a lot of conflicting information out there. I believe you deserve honest, educated, and personalized answers. Straight from someone who actually pierces people for a living.
That’s why I’m launching a full blog series answering the most common (and some of the most unusual) questions we get asked in the studio, online, and everywhere in between.
💬 So what kind of questions are we talking about?
Glad you asked. Over the next few months, I’ll be breaking down everything from the classics like “Do piercings hurt?” and “How long does healing take?”, to the more specific concerns like “Is it safe to pierce through scar tissue?” or “Can I keep my piercing in during an MRI?” Each post will be written with you in mind. Tailored to real-life experience, anatomy considerations, and how I do things.
Here’s a quick preview of what’s coming:
❓ General Piercing Questions
We’ll start with the basics. How much it hurts, how much it costs, and what makes some piercings riskier or easier than others. We’ll also talk about things like when you can change your jewelry, and whether it’s okay to bring your own (spoiler: usually not).
🧼 Aftercare & Healing
Healing isn’t just about saline spray and hoping for the best. We’ll go over what’s actually normal during healing, what to do if things get weird (like swelling or bumps), and the real deal on swimming, sleeping, and cleaning correctly.
💎 Jewelry & Materials
Titanium vs. steel? Threadless vs. threaded? What’s anodized jewelry? Is gold okay? These posts will help you understand not just what looks good, but what’s safe, body-friendly, and ideal for your anatomy.
📍 Placement-Specific Insights
From daiths and helixes to belly buttons and genitals. Each area of the body comes with its own healing quirks and technique considerations. These posts will highlight those differences and help you choose piercings that make sense for your body and lifestyle.
🔍 Other Common Searches
Airport security, surgery prep, numbing creams, apprenticeships, and more! These posts cover all the extras people are constantly curious about but don’t always get clear answers for.
Why This Matters
I don’t gatekeep knowledge. I want you to feel confident about your decisions and care. I believe in transparency, education, and making sure you feel fully supported from start to finish.
This blog series is here to empower you. To answer your questions before you even walk through the door. Whether you’re planning your first piercing or you’re a long-time client looking to level up your jewelry game, there’s something in here for you.
