Body piercing can be so much more than a fashion statement or aesthetic decision. For many people, it’s a deeply personal act of reclaiming autonomy, healing from trauma, and affirming their identity. I understand that the meaning behind a piercing often runs far deeper than the surface. And I hold space for those stories.
Piercing as a Path to Reclamation
For survivors of sexual assault, the relationship with their body can become complicated, strained, or disconnected. In these cases, body piercings can offer a powerful and transformative way to take ownership back. Choosing to be pierced (on your terms, in a safe and supportive environment) can be an act of radical self-love and agency. It’s about saying: This is my body. I get to decide what happens to it.
The piercing process, when handled with consent, care, and dignity, can help people begin to feel at home in their bodies again. We’ve seen piercings mark milestones in healing journeys. We’ve seen them used to shift narratives of pain into symbols of strength.
Affirming Identity in the LGBTQIA+ Community
For many folks in the LGBTQIA+ community, piercings are a way to express identity, embrace queerness, and feel more aligned with the way they see themselves. Whether it’s about gender expression, claiming bodily autonomy, or rejecting cis-normative beauty standards, piercings can be an act of resistance and affirmation.
From a single nostril piercing to a full curated look, the choices belong to the individual. And that alone can be profoundly empowering. Every piece of jewelry becomes a visible celebration of authenticity.
I am proud to serve our LGBTQIA+ community with respect, dignity, and understanding. I don’t just pierce. I listen, I hold space, and I recognize the importance of feeling safe during the process.
Power in Choice
There is something incredibly grounding about choosing to alter your body intentionally. That act of decision-making; whether it’s about the type of piercing, the jewelry you select, or when and where it happens; is a declaration of agency. In a world that so often tries to tell us who we are or what our bodies should be, piercings offer a beautiful counter-narrative: I choose this for me.
Holding Space
Piercing isn’t always about reclaiming or healing, but for those who come to it with that intention, I’m here to honor it. My space is body-positive, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirming. I recognize that every client’s journey is different. And I’m honored when you choose me to be a part of it.
If a piercing feels like part of your healing, expression, or reclamation, know that you’re not alone. And you deserve to feel safe, seen, and supported throughout the process. I’m here to pierce you with care, expertise, and respect for your story. When you’re ready, I’ll be here to help you choose something that feels right for you.
