As COVID-19 has swept across the globe, businesses everywhere have had to adapt quickly to new circumstances. It’s been a challenging time for many of us, especially in personal care industries like piercing. I wanted to take a moment to address how this pandemic is affecting my piercing services, the precautions we are taking, and what you can do to stay safe while we navigate this uncertain time together.

First and foremost, your safety and well-being have always been my top priority. While I know this closure is frustrating for many of you, please know that it is necessary to protect both you and the wider community. I want to assure you that I am doing everything I can to prepare for the safe reopening of the studio and to keep you informed along the way.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us all to re-evaluate the way we approach daily life. With close-contact industries like body piercing, the risk of transmission is heightened, making it crucial to take proactive steps to keep everyone safe.

As recommended by the CDC and WHO, limiting the number of people in close contact is essential to reducing the spread of the virus. When you come in for a piercing, you’re not just getting a new piece of jewelry—you’re also engaging in a process that involves direct contact, which is why this pause in service is necessary for public health.

By temporarily closing the studio and adhering to government guidelines, we’re playing our part in controlling the spread and keeping our community safe. These closures aren’t easy, but they’re a responsible action that will help bring this situation under control more quickly.

For the time being, all in-person appointments and walk-ins will be postponed until further notice. During this closure, I will continue to monitor any updates from public health authorities to ensure I am prepared for reopening as soon as it is safe to do so.

I understand that this might be disappointing, especially if you’ve been looking forward to a piercing. However, I want to reassure you that this adjustment is made in the interest of your safety.

While the studio is closed, it’s important to understand the guidelines that will be followed once we are able to reopen:

  • Enhanced hygiene practices: I will continue to follow strict sanitization protocols to keep both the studio and the equipment sterile.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE): I’ll be wearing masks, gloves, and other necessary PPE to minimize any risk of transmission.
  • Appointment-only model: To limit the number of people in the studio, I’ll be offering services by appointment only. This allows me to provide the most focused and safe experience for each client.

Social distancing will also be enforced in the studio, and only clients with scheduled appointments will be allowed inside. To ensure the safety of everyone, temperature checks will be conducted upon entry. Any client showing symptoms or a high temperature will be rescheduled for a later time. This helps create a safe and controlled environment where proper sanitation can be carried out between each appointment, and we can prioritize everyone’s health.

Although we are temporarily closed, there are things you can do to ensure your piercing stays in great shape during this time:

  • Maintain proper aftercare: Continue cleaning your piercing with sterile saline, and avoid touching it with dirty hands.
  • Avoid changing your jewelry: It’s best to hold off on changing your jewelry during this period, especially if your piercing isn’t fully healed.
  • Stay connected: If you have any concerns or need advice, feel free to reach out to me. I’m still here to help you with anything you need.

I know this situation is frustrating for everyone, and I truly appreciate your patience as we work through these challenges together. The situation is constantly evolving, and while I can’t predict when we’ll be able to reopen, I promise I’m committed to keeping you informed and providing the best possible service when the time comes.

I encourage you to stay safe and follow all public health recommendations during this time, including social distancing and wearing a mask when necessary.

When the studio reopens, I will be implementing even more safety measures to ensure the health of both clients and myself. This includes appointment-only scheduling, extra cleaning between clients, and careful sanitation of all equipment.

I’ll also be available to help you reschedule any appointments that may have been affected by the closure. I know how important your piercing journey is to you, and I’m ready to get back to work as soon as possible.

I want to thank you for your understanding and patience during this time. I know how disappointing this closure is, but please know that the health and safety of my clients will always be my top priority.

Once we are able to reopen, I’ll be ready to provide you with the best service, as safely as possible. In the meantime, I encourage you to reach out if you need any advice, have questions, or just want to check in. We’ll get through this together, and I’m looking forward to welcoming you back to the studio when it’s safe to do so.
