Another year, another unforgettable trip to Camp APP—and this time, the theme was chocolate. You already know I was all in.
Spending time surrounded by fellow piercers, educators, and friends from across the industry is always a privilege, but this year’s retreat felt extra rich (and not just because of the theme). From deep discussions on technique and safety to laughing over shared stories, it was exactly the kind of energy recharge I needed.
I managed to pack in 10 different lectures, classes, and workshops, each one offering fresh perspectives and ideas to bring back to my studio. Continued education is a cornerstone of being an APP Member, and it’s something I take seriously—for myself and for my clients.
And yes… I almost got to pierce Jim Ward during the annual Piercer Ninja Warrior competition. So close, and yet… a story I’ll be telling forever (and definitely one I’ll keep trying to top next year).
Oh—and let’s talk about the food for a second. Absolutely phenomenal. If you’re wondering if it’s possible to learn and eat like royalty in the woods, the answer is yes. Perks of being part of a professional community that cares about its members in every way.
Now that I’m back on Staten Island, I’m excited to get back to what I love most: piercing my incredible clients. Thanks for always being patient and supportive while I step away for professional growth—it means the world.
