Another year, another unforgettable APP Conference in the books. I was fortunate enough to attend again this year, where I took 14 classes and volunteered my time to help the event run smoothly. Despite dealing with some lingering discomfort from recent dental work (bad timing, I know), I made the most of it and walked away feeling more inspired than ever.
One of my favorite parts of conference is always the opportunity to learn from my peers. This year was no different—I connected with so many new piercers from all over, and our conversations were as educational as the classes themselves. It’s incredible how much you can gain just from being surrounded by passionate professionals who are as eager to share as they are to learn.
Of course, it wouldn’t be conference without checking out all the amazing new jewelry. I picked up pieces from some of the industry’s finest—Anatometal, Industrial Strength, BVLA, and Diablo Organics. While Dinamica Joalheria wasn’t able to attend this year, I already carry their jewelry, so I wasn’t too disappointed.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to shift gears for the next big event on the calendar: Camp APP. Camp is always something special. It offers a more relaxed, intimate atmosphere, with fewer attendees and a real focus on connection, education, and self-care. I’m looking forward to recharging and bringing all that fresh energy and knowledge back into the studio.
