If you’ve ever called around to different studios or Googled “how much do piercings cost,” you’ve probably seen a wide range of numbers. So let’s break it all down.
I believe in transparent pricing, top-tier jewelry, and high standards. I also know that this is an investment; not just in your look, but in your health.
💸 What’s Included in the Cost of a Piercing?
Piercing pricing can vary a lot depending on a few things:
- The studio’s experience and credentials
- The quality of jewelry used
- Whether or not the studio includes aftercare products
- The type and location of the piercing
- How much time and care goes into the procedure
I personally charge a piercing fee + the cost of jewelry. This allows for flexibility based on your anatomy, aesthetic, and budget. I don’t offer “quickie piercings”. I offer safe, custom services using high-end materials that are built to last.
💎 Why High-Quality Jewelry Costs More
I stock only implant-grade titanium, solid 14k and 18k gold, and jewelry from trusted makers like BVLA, Anatometal, Industrial Strength, Pupil Hall, and Buddha Jewelry.
That means:
- No mystery metals
- No fading or tarnishing
- Hypoallergenic for even the most sensitive skin
- Long-lasting jewelry that can be worn for life
This is your body and it deserves better than mall kiosk metals and one-size-fits-all jewelry.
📍 Why Piercing Prices Vary So Much Between Studios
It’s tempting to price-shop when you’re planning a new piercing. But cheaper isn’t always safer. Studios offering super low prices might be:
- Using low-quality jewelry that could irritate your skin or delay healing
- Reusing tools instead of using single-use and sterile equipment
- Cutting corners on education, cleanliness, or technique
I follow the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) standards. That means continuing education, hospital-level sanitation, and jewelry that meets or exceeds medical implant guidelines.
👃 “Can I Bring My Own Jewelry?”
I get this question a lot as it relates to pricing. If you bring your own jewelry, we’ll need to evaluate it to make sure it’s appropriate and of an implant grade material. In most cases, we won’t use outside jewelry unless it’s from a verified, safe manufacturer and hasn’t been worn.
The price of a piercing includes the safety and quality assurance of jewelry we trust.
