I remember when these were often referred to as “scrumper” piercings, but “smiley” is probably the better term! The smiley piercing is delicate and not meant for bulky jewelry, which is why I typically pierce with a small circular barbell. While clients may want to see different jewelry options, it’s important to remember that smaller pieces work best for this type of piercing.
