This past week, I had the opportunity to attend a hands-on piercing seminar titled “Working Flexibly with Tools and Freehanded Technique” taught by none other than Luis Garcia—a legend in the industry.
The class was hosted at the beautiful Freyja Piercing Studio in Maryland, and it was an incredible day of learning, connecting, and refining technique. I walked away with a ton of new insights and ideas that I’m excited to integrate into my practice.
As a piercer, staying sharp and continuing to grow is part of the job—especially when it comes to safety, efficiency, and comfort for our clients. Whether it’s mastering new tool handling techniques or improving my freehand skills, these continuing education opportunities are a huge part of what keeps IPRICKU a trusted name in body piercing on Staten Island.

This seminar got me even more excited for this year’s Association of Professional Piercers (APP) Conference—another opportunity to grow, connect with colleagues, and bring home even more value to my clients.
